Doh Kyungsoo's journey to stardom began in 2010 when he participated in the Gyeonggi-do Youth Singing Festival, where he won an award for his exceptional vocal abilities. It was during his journey home from this festival that he was discovered by a talent scout, leading to his recruitment into SM Entertainment through their SM Casting System. This marked the beginning of his professional journey, which would see him rise to fame as D.O., one of the main vocalists of EXO.

D.O. was officially introduced to the world as a member of EXO on January 30, 2012, through the release of the single "What is Love," which he performed alongside fellow member Baekhyun. With his powerful and resonant voice, D.O. quickly became known for his live performance abilities, captivating audiences with his sweet yet commanding vocal tone. Despite his relatively smaller physique compared to his group members, D.O.'s voice possesses a strength that leaves a lasting impression on listeners, solidifying his place as a key figure in EXO's music.

In November 2013, D.O. made his acting debut in the film "Cart," directed by Boo Ji-young, making him the first EXO member to take on a movie role. He also contributed to the film's soundtrack with the theme song "Crying Out." This marked the beginning of a successful acting career, with D.O. receiving widespread recognition for his performances.

In 2014, SM Entertainment announced that D.O. would pursue acting under his real name, Doh Kyungsoo. His first television drama, "It’s Okay, That’s Love," aired the same year, earning him the Best New Actor award at the 3rd Daejeon Drama Festival. His acting career continued to flourish, with notable roles in films like "My Annoying Brother" (2016), where he won the Best New Actor award at the 38th Blue Dragon Film Awards, and the drama series "100 Days My Prince" (2018), which became one of the highest-rated dramas in TVN history.

In July 2021, D.O. released his first solo mini-album, "Empathy," showcasing his musical versatility beyond EXO. The album was well-received, further establishing his reputation as a solo artist. His acting prowess continued to be recognized, with D.O. winning the Popularity Award at the KBS Drama Awards for his role in "Bad Prosecutor" in 2022. Most recently, in October 2023, he was honored with the Star of the Year award at the 32nd Busan Film Awards for his performance in "The Moon."

In a significant move, D.O. left SM Entertainment in October 2023 to establish his own management company, Company Soosoo, alongside his original manager. Despite this change, SM Entertainment announced that EXO would continue as an eight-member group, with D.O. remaining an active member.

D.O.'s charm lies not only in his vocal talent and acting skills but also in his unique ability to captivate audiences with his warm and gentle personality. His kind eyes and infectious smile have endeared him to fans worldwide, making him one of the most beloved figures in the Korean entertainment industry. His journey from a talented singer in a youth festival to a superstar in both music and film is a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft.
